What vaccinations does my dog need to participate at All American Pet Resorts Shelby Township?
To ensure a safe and healthy environment, all dogs must be current on the following vaccinations:
- Rabies (required for dogs four months and older)
- Distemper (DHLPP or DHPP)
- Leptospirosis
- Bordetella (If this is your dog's first Bordetella vaccination, it should be administered at least 72 hours before boarding, though two weeks prior is ideal.)
- Flea & Tick Prevention (All dogs must be current on flea and tick prevention.)
- Fecal Testing (Required annually)
Additional vaccines may be required. Please contact us for more details or to confirm your dog's vaccination schedule.
Will you give my dog their medication?
Yes, but we only administer medications to pets that are boarding with us. All medications must be in their original container. If your dog has specific medication needs, please reach out to discuss their requirements and ensure we can provide the best care.
What kind of play space do you have?
Our resort features secure and spacious indoor and outdoor play areas.
- Indoor Play Areas: Covered with durable epoxy-coated or resilient rubber flooring designed for safety and comfort.
- Outdoor Play Areas: Covered with soft, resilient sports turf and enclosed with privacy fencing for a secure play experience.
We also disinfect all play surfaces multiple times a day to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
Do you require pet evaluations?
Yes. Every new guest is evaluated during their first visit, whether for boarding or daycare. Evaluations may take place on arrival or in advance.
We assess compatibility for dogs participating in Group Play based on size, play style, age, and energy level. Dogs over one year must be spayed or neutered to participate. Group Play is designed for well-socialized dogs; not all dogs may qualify.
Do you provide food, and can I bring my own?
Yes! We provide a high-quality, nutritious, digestible diet as part of our boarding and daycare services. You may bring food from home if your dog has a sensitive stomach or is on a prescription diet.
Guidelines for bringing your own food:
- Food must be pre-portioned per meal.
- Bulk or large containers may be subject to an additional fee.
- Treats are welcome, but rawhides are not allowed for safety reasons.
If you have any questions about your dog's diet while staying with us, reach out to us!
